Jennifer Rose is a lighting designer based in London. Most recently she was the designer for Algorithms by Sadie Clark at the Park Theatre in Finsbury. She lit Handel’s Acis and Galateafor English National Opera Studio live productions.
She was nominated for an Offie Theatre Award for her lighting for The Awakening at the Brockley Jack theatre in 2016.
She lit Coconut, a new play by Guleraana Mir and produced by The Thelmas, which premiered last spring at Ovalhouse Theatre before going on a nationwide tour. She also worked with The Thelmas on Ladykiller by Madeline Gould, which completed successful sold out runs at the Edinburgh Festival 2019 and Vaults Festival 2019. Ladykiller was awarded the VAULT Festival 2019 Pleasance Award, given to a show of outstanding quality across Pleasance venues.
Other lighting credits include Now We Are Three, by Descent Theatre, and Goddess by Serena Haywood performed at the Brighton Fringe Festival and at Manchester 503 Theatre.
She also worked at English National Opera as a lighting technician for a number of years.
Jenny lives in East London and when not in a theatre can often be found in her art studio. She completed a Masters in Illustration in 2022.
