Ayca is a Professional Ballerina, Dance, Pilates, Yoga and Barre Fitness instructor. Her training took place at Central School of Ballet in the UK and the John Cranko Schule, Stuttgart.
After graduating from Kent University with a First Class BA Hons Degree in Professional Dance and Performance, she started performing at Northern Ballet and became the first professional Turkish ballerina to join a company in the UK. She later joined the Istanbul State Opera Ballet .
Whilst training, she had the incredible opportunity to perform the lead role in an excerpt from ‘Valley of Shadows’ by Kenneth MacMillan in the UK. During her time at Northern Ballet she danced works by David Nixon, Kenneth Tindall, Cathy Marston, Jenna Lee and Kenneth Macmillan. She danced Kenneth Tindall’s pas de deux “The night is young, so are we” for BBC Dance Passion representing Northern Ballet.
Her repertoire with the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet includes performances as Giselle in Jules Perrot’s ‘Giselle’, as Kitri in Marius Petipa’s ‘Don Quixote Grand Pas de Deux’, as Snow Queen in Mehmet Balkan’s ‘Nutcracker and as Cupid in Marius Petipa’s ‘Don Quixote’.
Most recently she took place in the recreation of ‘Ballade’ by Kenneth Macmillan, with the London City Ballet.
