Jimin Kim

Dancer

Jimin is from South Korea and started ballet at the age of 12.  She has performed as a guest dancer for the Universal Ballet in Korea before joining the London City Ballet.  Previously she danced for the Universal Ballet Junior Company performing in La Vivandiere, Le Corsaire Pas de Trois, and Paquita Grand pas.

She trained at the Sunwha Arts Middle and High School in Korea completing her studies at the Korean National University of Arts (K-Arts). Here she performed a variety of contrasting  repertoire which included Giselle Act 2 pas de deux, Tchaikovsky pas de deux and performed the main role in Theme and Variations and ‘Nature’ choreographed by Yonggeol Kim.

She participated in the YAGP Korea 2018 and was awarded a Gold medal in the Senior Women’s Division. She also participated in Prix de Lausanne 2018 and 2019 where she received scholarships from the Boston Ballet School and The Australian Ballet School.

After graduating from K-Arts, she performed as a guest dancer at the Universal Ballet in Korea before joining the London City Ballet.
