JIMIN IS FROM SOUTH KOREA AND STARTED BALLET AT THE AGE OF 12. SHE HAS PERFORMED AS A GUEST DANCER FOR THE UNIVERSAL BALLET IN KOREA AND THE UNIVERSAL BALLET JUNIOR COMPANY PERFORMING IN LA VIVANDIÈRE, LE CORSAIRE PAS DE TROIS AND PAQUITA GRAND PAS.
She trained at the Sunwha Arts Middle and High School in Korea, completing her studies at the Korean National University of Arts (K-Arts).Here she performed a variety of contrasting repertoire which included Giselle Act 2 pas de deux, Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, the main role in Theme and Variations and Nature choreographed by Yonggeol Kim.
She participated in the YAGP Korea 2018 and was awarded a Gold Medal in the Senior Women’s Division. She also participated in Prix de Lausanne 2018 and 2019 where she received scholarships from the Boston Ballet School and The Australian Ballet School.She has performed in the Nutcracker as Sugar Plum with Ballet Ireland and danced in ballets by August Bournonville and Christopher Marney with the Svendborg Ballet Theater, Denmark.
During her first season with London City Ballet, she performed repertoire including Marney’s Eve, Concerto (second movement) & Ballade by Kenneth Macmillan, Consolations & Liebestraum by Liam Scarlett and in Ashley Page’s ‘Larina Waltz’.
